Concealed Carry
This course has been developed to exceed the minimum requirements mandated by the county sheriffs. As of May 18, 2003 Colorado became a "Shall Issue" state. Concealed handgun permits are available to qualified applicants who meet state specified requirements as listed in the County Sheriff's of Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit Information Packet.
Our comprehensive course includes two components: Classroom education and Range instruction including handling and shooting drills. We stress both aspects to help our students understand the full responsibility of concealed weapon carry.
Requirements- Handgun (rentals available with prearrangement), serviceable holster, ear and eye protection, 250 rounds of ammunition.
Cost - $185
Range Instruction
Eight hours of range instruction includes:
Firearms safety
Proper grip and stance
Sight picture and sight alignment
Trigger control
Decisional shooting
Target assessment
Drawing from concealment
Techniques for handling malfunctions
How to safely load and reload
Range safety
Cleaning and maintenance

Four hours of classroom education includes:
Basic firearms safety
Legal aspects of carrying concealed weapons and the use of deadly force
Introduction to threat assessment
Discussion of "real world" situations
Tips on creating a safe personal environment
